Sanghyo Lee, the principal architect of [ARCHITECTS T:IM], holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Architecture from Seoul National University of Science and Technology. He has built an extensive foundation of practical expertise through his tenure at renowned firms, including Yooshin Architects, SAC International, and POSCO A&C.

His multifaceted career began in 2000 as an editorial reporter for the monthly [architectural magazine Architecture & Culture]. In 2013, he earned his license as a Korean Registered Architect. Expanding his global perspective, Lee served as an expatriate in Russia for two years starting in 2012. In 2015, he was selected for the POSCO Group personnel exchange program and joined POSCO International, where he played a pivotal role in various overseas real estate development projects, notably overseeing construction management (CM) for the Lotte Hotel project in Myanmar.

From 2017 to 2019, he directed construction administration and site management across multiple developments, including the Bom Building in Goyang-si and POSCO PP experimental building in Songdo. Through these hands-on experiences, Lee has consistently proven his comprehensive capability to manage the entire lifecycle of architecture—from strategic design to on-site execution.

트임(T:IM)이라는 이름은,

발터 벤야민의 1929년 짧은 에세이,

「초현실주의」에 등장하는

'범속한 트임(profane erleuchtung)'에서

차용했습니다.

발터 벤야민이 말하는 '범속한 트임'은

초현실주의 예술작품에서 나타난,

일상속에서 비밀스러운 것을

발견하는 교차능력과 영감을

의미합니다.

건축적 트임을,

내적으로는 일상생활속에 숨겨진 기쁨과 경이로움,

외적으로는 물리적 공간의 확장과 가치증대라고

정의합니다.

건축사사무소 트임은

이를 추구할 것입니다.

[T:IM] takes its name from

"profane Erleuchtung(profane illumination)"

a phrase from Walter Benjamin’s

1929 essay,

「Surrealism」.

The "profane Erleuchtung" of which

Walter Benjamin speaks refers to the crossing faculty

and inspiration for discovering the secret

within everyday life, as it appeared

in Surrealist works of art.

We define architectural "T:IM" in two ways:

first, as the joy and wonder hidden within everyday life;

and second, as the expansion of spatial value

and new possibility.

Ultimately, this architectural T:IM is what

[Architects T:IM] pursues.
